Sista "Women In Reggae" gasthers the talents of some 13 reggae artists telling their story through music and the spoken word. It's a fascinating female reggae collective, featuring members of Abakush, Akabu, simple poet Jayzik and the Queen of UK Dancehall music Trilla Jenna. Their first performance in front of a live audience was in early March 2000, when Sista did a three hour lasting showcase at "Dingwalls", a live venue in Camden Town, London. The show was actually an event to celebrate International Women’s Day. Since then they have performed on a regular basis including appearances at Reggae Geel, Summer Jam and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
